Just laugh to yourself about the "legal cake police". Anybody that's been around long enough knows what's really going on (read between the lines). We all know it's a PIA to get the same old message day in and day out, but some people have nothing better to do.

Relax. For all you know, her cakes take like sand and sponge. Just give it all your passion, and what will be will be. There might be enough customers in your area to keep both of you busy.
