Hi, i am very new to this! i made a cake from a simple recipe it called for the egg whites to be beaten separate and fold in at the end well i followed the recipe and out of the oven it looked perfect... until i cut into it crumble it would not come out in piece what did i do wrong??
Can you post the recipe on here, so we can see what the ingredients were? what was the cake called?
it was a simple 3eggs 2 cup sr flour, 2 cups sugar,2butter 1 cup milk
Other than not coming out of the pan well, how did it taste? Was it dry and crumbly in your mouth? It may have just needed to line your pan with parchment (always).
Could the cake have been too dry or was the oven too hot, crumbly sounds like a dry cake.
You might want to check your oven temperature, it might be baking hotter than you think. I have to bake on 325, my cakes come out perfect.
