I have been trying to blow sugar apples, have had some success, but the apples remain tacky to the touch. What am I doing wrong? Bonnie

The biggest problem with blown sugar is it is extremely sensitive to humidity. This time of year is rally bad for that in most places. I would make sure they are cooled completely and put them in an airtigh container with some silica packets or something that can absorb moisture.
