I'd like some other opinions on how they would handle this: I have gone to the same girl for haircuts for about 3 or 4 years, and I've even followed her to 3 different salons during that time. My mother also goes to her, and she used to work with my daughter, so we are also like friends. She even invited me to her baby shower. Anyway, she found another person to cut my difficult hair while she was on maternity leave, and you guessed it, I LOVED the way the new girl cut it, much better than the cuts I had gotten from my original girl! So now, she's coming back from maternity leave, and she even texted me to tell me so that I could schedule my next appt. So what would YOU do? I know this seems trivial, but I just don't know what to do!

This is the problem when business relationships turn into friendships.
If you are happier with your new stylist, stay with her. If your friend cannot understand this, then perhaps she wasn't as close a friend as you thought she was.

I worried for nothing. She took the news very well and said she just wanted me to be happy!
