Yes, you can bake just about anything in a cupcake. But have you considered ganache filling?

I've baked the halloween sized Mars bars in cupcakes. I saw it on a blog ( but I can't remember who's it was ) and they used a whole bar. It was just too much for my taste. I would make them again but with half of the chocolate bar.

I have baked several kinds of candy in my cupcakes. I experimented a lot. Don't use malt balls inside of cupcakes as they turn out bad, melt into tiny little rock hard pieces. Not pleasant to bite into. Some are good and some are not so good.
