For those of you that have used the buttercream dream recipe, do you know how many cupcakes it will frost?

It would depend on the amount of frosting you put on each cupcake but I think it will frost at least 2 dozen with a traditional cupcake swirl using the 2D tip. I'm thinking more like 3 dozen if I recall correctly the last time I tried it.

Thanks! I was thinking of using a 1M tip since thats the only one I've ever used, would a 2D give me a better swirl? I'm new to decorating cupcakes

Either one will give a nice swirl, 2D will give you more of a "ruffly" swirl...a tighter, swirlier swirl, if you will. icon_smile.gif

Thanks! One more question, if I'm placing a fondant topper on top of the swirl is there a certain tip I should use or do they all work the same?

What kind of topper are you adding? If you look in my pics at the 1st cupcake (chocolate mint), I did that with a 2D tip, then in the other pics with that one, I added fondant LEGO toppers...
