Okay there was a request for the browning symbol on top of a cake standing up...it will be out of gum paste and hardened. It will also be thin...how do you all suggest I get it to stand up on the top without it falling over?
I don't know what this symbol looks like, but is there any way you can glue a skewer or two to the back of it to stick into the cake. I usually use melted chocolate to stick the skewers on with. It's a lot stronger than tylose/CMC glue, gumpaste glue or royal icing. If your gumpaste figure were thick enough, you could run the skewers inside it, but since you say it's going to be thin, I assume this is not an option.
