Hi everyone! I have a cake coming up at the end of the month very similar to the attached photo. The couple wants the bunting on the cake to be edible, so I'm trying to figure out what to make the little flags out of.

My first thought is to use wafer/rice paper from Fancy Flours and cut them out with a scrapbooking puncher. The second possibility is to use gumpaste for the bunting flags, which I know would work.

My question is, if I use the rice paper and put it onto IMBC and into (and out of) the fridge, would it melt or bleed onto the rest of the cake? I plan on testing this out ahead of time, but didn't want to spend $40 on a packet of printed rice paper sheets if there's no chance of it working!

Has anyone tried this before? Success? Failure? Hints? Thanks for any help!
