Im making a fondant two tier cake for this weekend. I want to bake the cake tomorrow and freeze it.
Just wanted to double check that once I crumb coat it and add butter cream between the layers I put it back in the freezer for a little bit just to harden before i add the fondant? I plan on doing this part on Sunday morning ( this is the day I will be using the cake) I should not put a fondant cake in the fridge right?
Should I assemble the cake before hand or wait tile we get to the location before adding the top tier? We have to travel about 15 miles.
One more thing I know i need dowels in the bottom cake but do i also need to add them to the 2nda cake? Im going 2 9 in bottoms and the top will be 2 6in.
