Help In Making Ganaches

Yep you read right I need help making ganache.. lol... I know it's just chocolate and cream... right????? I have look in my local stores for cream, all I find in half n half, whipping cream and stuff like that.. Is that what you use for it or am I looking in the wrong place??? Is my recipe right?

I use whipping cream.

Use heavy whipping cream.

Just pour the hot liquid over the chocolate and stir until it's smooth.

ah no wonder my chocolate siezed on me I melted the chocolate then put the cream it.. I had candy when it was done lol

If this helps any, I make my ganache in the microwave. I use a bag of mini chocolate chips, 1 cup heavy cream and a tbsp of whatever flavoring I want be it rum, Mexican vanilla, expresso etc. Heat the chips in the microwave remembering to stir about every 30sec depending in your microwave. When the chips are almost all melted I mix in cream and extract. And voila amazing chocolate ganache in 1 bowl!
