I want to make some eucalyptus for a cake I am making but I am not quite sure what color I should tint the gumpaste or what color to dust it with. I use americolor gel colors and crystal colors dusting powders.

As I was searching on line for pictures, there seems to be quite a range of colors eucalyptus can be.

Hello SP
Living in Australia i can assure you there are many variations of our native tree - as this link shows
http://www.google.com.au/search?q=eucalyptus&hl=en&prmd=ivns&cr=countryAU&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&biw=1024&bih=652&wrapid=tlif131213130840710&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi

More of a grey/green if anything.
I don't think you can go wrong using any of the shades along those lines.

Exactely what AM colours to use - sorry i don't know -
Hopefully someone else will be along shortly to help you.

Bluehue.

Sugarprincess, you might start out with an avocado color which is 4 parts lemon yellow ,1 part leaf green and just a touch of black. And just play with those colors till you get the color you like. Hope that helps you
