I have only being doing cakes for about 12 months and have being using Cake Arts Plastic Icing.... mainly because it is the easiest to purchase here in Australia... there arent too many other options.

I have tried to make my own MM fondant with terrible results :S
I have also read others who swear by Satin Ice but it seems much more expensive????

I have also heard of Bakels Pettinice... but cant find the companies website???

Anybody else out there use Cake Art? And how is it stacking up against the other?

Cake Art is fine. Bakels is commonly used.

Most cake decorating suppliers stock Bakels: food service companies, caterers supply houses etc. Telephone the company for the nearest stockist ..
