Hi, I am trying to make a wedding cake inspired by the dress. I would like any advice on how to get the fondant to fold in the front like on the dress. Is it as simple as covering like normal, then pleating the front or is there another way? Going to do a test run and wanted to have some idea of what to do first. The dress is at this link and I'm going to put the sketch of the cake in my photos ( gonna try anywayicon_smile.gif)

Yes, cover it normally, then add strips of fondant with the edges folded under for the pleated effect. You can do several pleats on one piece, or each pleat a separate piece...whatever's easier for you.

Thanks! I was trying to figure out how to make the single piece of fondant cover the cake and make the folds. Your way sounds easier.icon_smile.gif
