So I posted just a little bit ago about how my little boy's Mater cake completely dissolved in the Summer heat ... just managed to post the pics (couldn't post them to the message, but here they are anyway) ...
Not strictly a cake disaster, I guess, since we were all just as happy to eat a straight-edged Mater as a melty one, but I AM glad we got the before pictures to prove to myself it was once intact . I was actually particularly happy with how straight my edges had been, considering how hurried I was in putting it together this time. Won't be using ganache outside again during warm weather, though ... lesson learned!
It was too cute! Too bad it melted...but I bet it tasted great!
