Over the last few months, I've made a total of 5 batches of MMF - first 2 times were awesome but the last 3 times...ugh. It breaks and cracks. It's a nightmare. I tried all the fixes and wind up with a mess in the trash. Then I got to thinking that the marshmallows might be the problem. I bought a ton of generic brand marshmallows on sale and have been using those instead of my normal Jet Puffed brand. Would MM brand make a difference? I'm not ready to give up on this yet. It's bugging me that I was able to make it perfectly the first 2 times and then it seemed to go downhill!

Add some light corn syrup. Works great! No cracking or tearing. I use 1/4 cup for each two pound batch I make.

I have been using light corn syrup but only half of that amount. I'll try the 1/4 cup and see how that works. Thanks!
