I'm just starting out and I want to know what is the best way to get my name out there for doing cakes with little or no money???

Samples, samples, samples. Drop off goodies at banks, local business, wedding gown stores, tux rental, photograhers, etc. Be sure to leave a brochure and/or cards with the gifts.

If you have kids, try the classroom events at school! Parents will pass the word around quickly and then watch out.
