How far in advance can I cover a cake in fondant in a heat wave? its racking up to 115 this weekend, the cake is for Sunday afternoon and I have a lot to do. I would like to spend more time on the details, if possible. I actually would like to do get most of it done Saturday night, is there anyway this could be done?
Yes of course.. I cover my cakes usually 1-2 days in advance, that way I have time for the "details" and in case anything goes wrong, I have a chance to fix it. I put it in the fridge if I have the space, but if not I just leave it on my dining room table in from of my window air conditioner. I've never had a problem.
