I am making pink and purple swirled cupcakes and trying to get an actual purple. Can anyone please tell me what I can add or mix to get a real purple? I started with Lavendar gel as my cake store only carries Lavendar or Violet. Can I add any other colors?

Equal parts of red and blue will give you purple.

I looked at the link above & it didn't break down purple. But the basic combo is (red + blue= purple)
