Something like this happened to me once...a few years ago on 4th of july I put in two 8" rounds into the oven not 10 minutes into cooking the power went out for over an hour...I left them in the oven, kept the door closed and turned it back on when the power came back...I had to cook for about 30 minutes. They were slightly crisp on the top rim area but I just sliced that off when I torted (sp?) them and it was seriously the best/moist cake I've ever done, lol..

Maybe you are starting a new trend to cake baking. Especially if it is moist and yummy.
