Help! Need To Make A Half Sphere Cake To Serve 30

How can I make a half sphere cake to serve 30 people? The wilton soccer ball cake pan only serves 12; I am making a basketball cake for my nephew's birthday. Any ideas?

Wow 12 serves, is that the half pan cake pan? I usually make this and get at least 25 pieces out of it. Wilton must cut their peices like doorstops! If you were concerend you could always put it on top of a 9" round or similar and then carve the bottom in a bit to fit the ball shape.
