I'm looking for a nice banana buttercream recipe that does not involve icing sugar.
I was thinking about putting some banana and a bit of cream cheese (or sour cream?) with a touch of lemon juice in the food processor and then adding it to my SMBC. Would this work or will I end up with a mess?

I gave it a try (with the cream cheese) and it's tasty but we'll see how it holds up. It came together nicely at first but it looks like it has the potential to break down.
I'm sure it's of no help to you tonight, but I add Hero Banana Compound to mine and it's super delicious and also stable
I think the banana icing would have a short shelf life with the addition of fresh bananas. It would probally break down and discolor even with the lemon juice. Why not try adding some banana liqueur.
