I wanted to try making cake pops that are molded into different shapes. I was thinking that I could press them into a candy mold to get a 2D shape. Maybe then I could "glue" two of them together with chocolate before dipping the to make it a 3D shape. Has anyone tried something like this?

I've tried it. It works perfectly fine in silicone molds...
Not so great in the standard ones.

To get any detail your chocolate has to be very thing...

Just make sure they are also frozen when you pop them out to keep the shape

Oh goody! So glad to know someone else has tried this. Do you put the sticks in before or after you put them together?

I put the stick in when I was sticking the 2 sides together
