can anyone help me....im colouring a large amount of rolled out fondant icing black....ive nearly used a whole pot of black paste colouring and my fondant is only a very dark grey.....help please!!!
It does take a lot. If you've gotten to dark grey I would let it sit for a while. I find it will darken as it rests.
I start with chocolate RTR to start with, then I add some bought black icing and then top up with a little liquid black colour. I always let it sit overnight as well.
Keep that in mind for next time , but I would actually add some brown to your icing as well as just the black .
It takes heaps of black to get there from white.
