I have a rainbow cake to make for this Saturday, how far in advance can I make the cake? I am going to stay with relatives for the party so was hoping I could get away with baking today (wednesday) and covering with buttercream tomorrow (Thursday) before I leave???
Does anybody know how fresh the cake will remain if baked 3/4 days before event?
I always bake Wednesday for cakes due on Saturday. (And I don't refrigerate).
It will be fine.
