I have tried on two separate occasions to make Indydebi's buttercream recipe and it comes out inedible icon_mad.gif I think it's the Crisco. Has anyone else had a problem with Crisco tasting metallic? Or could it be the Dream Whip? All I know is you can definitely smell the metallic smell even after adding absurd amounts of extracts and the taste is even worse! I would love to get her recipe to work because I have a read bazillion times how awesome it is! Thanks in advance!!

What kind of extract are you using...?

I found that almond extract gives BC a really nasty metallicy taste... i thought it was Crisco as well, but it was the almond extract giving it that smell / taste...

I don't have any other suggestions then except check your equipment or switch to a new can of Crisco.
