I'm curious what kind of camera and photo software some of you use to have professional pictures. I have a good basic camera but it doesn't do my cakes justice sometimes. So what do ya'll do for great cake pics??

I use a Nikon D40 with a Nikon 35mm f1.8 lens and a SB-400 external flash. Photoshop for minimal processing, mostly sharpening for web or adjusting for color depending on where my light is when I shoot (in morning light my kitchen shoots very blue, late night under artificial light I have to drop out some yellow.

A great site to learn how to best use your camera is kenrockwell.com. Also rec's on upgrading your equipment if you need (his tip: more expensive isn't always best).
