I am gonna make a round cake with just the tower on top. Would i be better off making the tower out of rice crispy treats. Or does some one else have a better idea. Thanks so much for all your help.

I used styrofoam. Super easy to cover. I used one shaped like a christmas tree. It's in my gallery. I think they make them cylinder shaped also.

Well ,I decided to make the tower of a long cone shape of white foam that Hobby Lobby sells,I covered in fondant and gumpaste. The top was a plastic container covered in fondant/gumpaste , and I opened some windows with an exacto knive. take a look at my Tangled cakes, the towers were so easy to mount as well, I might have some pictures of the process to show you
