I have a customer interested in 3D Buddha head cake ..Yummy Mummy has an excellent cake posed here in the galleries...So I know what cake to use and such and stacking etc but how do I sculpt the eyes, nose, face etc of a person..How do you hold the nose on?I have no experience with sculpting and art and can only draw stick figures...Should I just say forget it or here's hoping someone will tell me it's really not that hard... icon_rolleyes.gif

Can anyone offer any guidance..Otherwie I am going to have to decline the order. icon_cry.gif

That is beautiful!
I would guess you work with frozen cake to do the carving. I would have no clue how to make it come out as beautiful as that though!

Glad you got some help with the question. Very interesting and well done cake.

My thought would be that the area above the eyes and the nose are built up with fondant under the layer of fondant that covers the whole cake.
