Lightly steam it with a clothes steamer

would this effect the fondant negatively if it is airbrushed??

No it won't affect the airbrush at all. Just make sure that you have allowed the the parts you airbrush to fully dry. Then lightly steam it

But doesn't it dry back to a matte finish in about an hour after you steam it?
