i just have to get this off my chest. maybe im just jealous because i dont have one , but i hate hate hate the cricut. to me the cakes look too "premade", almost artificial. i feel like it takes away from the personal touch and creativity of decorating a cake. the cakes look "too perfect", not individualized at all. just wondering if any one else out there feels the same

LOL! I actually am getting ready to buy one! I sort of agree that they look way to perfect but i think with the right touches on them you could really do some awesome cakes!

Perhaps the ones that look too premade to you are the ones created using a cartridge. I've used mine several times along with SCAL2 and have yet to create a cake using an image from a cartridge.

As far as too perfect, there are plenty of flaws on my cakes. Those decorations help detract from them. icon_biggrin.gif

Also, don't use it to create your entire cake. Use it as accent pieces, as part of your cake, not as the whole design.
