Hi All!
I was hoping someone could give me a good recipe. A friend asked me to make a cake for her daughter's bday. She asked that the filling be dulce de leche. How can i make it to a consistancy that will hold as a filling? She wants a yellow cake.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

I made dulce de leche mexican chocolate cake with dulce de leche filling for my parents 50th anniversary. I just took buttercream and made it a little stiffer than usual and then swirled in dulce de leche to loosen it up. It makes a great filling. HTH

Buy it. icon_wink.gif I buy it at Walmart. Nestle's makes it and you can find it in the ethnic aisle of the store.

A variety of ways to make it. Easiest way to make it is with a can of condensed milk. Just do a google search on how to make it in the can. Any way you do it, it will take you at least a couple of hours.
