I made a pineapple cake today, i used a dh cake mix and substituted the water with pineapple juice and added pineapple tidbits to the mix. I cooked it at 325 for 1 hour. It sank in the middle and when I took it out of the pan the sides where not even browned and the cnter looked a little funny... was it because of the pineapple juice the fruit is self or both?

Could have been by adding the pineapple juice it raised the sugar level and that could cause it to sink. What size was your pan? Did you use baking strips or a heating core/flower nail in the middle. That also helps.
