I've been wanting to try the cookie's & cream cupcakes. Which is a better cake to make it with a vanilla cake or chocolate cake for the cookies & cream cupcake?

I think if you can get a reallly good moist vanilla recipe that it would be better. Only because with chocolate that would be very rich with the cookies and cream stuff.
Neither will be bad though because anything cookies and cream is extremely good icon_smile.gif
I like the idea of trying both, let us know how it goes icon_smile.gif

My son makes brownies with cookies and cream frosting and the flavor of the frosting definitely gets lost in the chocolate. I think vanilla would be better!

Vanilla cake with the chocolate cookie chunks is more visually appealing, too.

I've also made it with a tuxedo cake - alternating layers of chocolate and white cake - really good too!

Do ya'll make them with the filling or without. I didn't even think about it when I was buying the stuff for the cupcakes.
