I am making a 12x18 carrot cake. The recipe I am using makes a 3 layer 8" round. If I double the recipe, will it be enough (or too much) for a 12x18x2 cake!
Also would you suggest a single layer 12x18 over a 2 layer 9x13?
According to the above chart each 8in pan takes 3.5 cups of batter. So your recipe makes about 10.5 cups of batter.
A 13x9 needs 7 cups of batter and a 12x18 needs 14.
