I am making a wedding cake this weekend (my first wedding cake). The bride wants all white cake. I am making 12", 10", 8", and 6" square cakes to stack. I know about good structure and support. What I need is some reccomendations for a good white cake recipe that is also sturdy for all this stacking. Any other suggestions are welcome as well! I am a little nervous and scared that I let myself be talked into doing this cake!

Right here on CC I discovered the perfect recipe! It stacks well, slices like a dream and I get rave reviews on the flavor every time.

To make certain it's white, of course, use clear vanilla. Although I personally love the almond flavoring if you want it to taste like pure vanilla, simply substitute more of it in place if the almond.

Good luck on your wedding cake!

WASC - White Almond Sour Cream cake - I use it all the time for all my cakes -there are so many variations.
