Help help help!

I want to make a sugarpaste ballerina to go on top of my daughters cupcake for her 3rd birthday, but I have no idea where to start. I've made some sugar paste things in the past, but I can't actually figure out what steps I need to take to get my ballerina to work. I know i'll have to build it around a skewer so it stays upright... but that's all I got. Ideas/tips would be so very appreciated.

Frances McNaughton has a book out on sugarpaste fairies... Do same thing... make tutu skirt and little black shoes( I'd pipe in black the lace part). Anyways this books shows you how to do it in stages and with your daughter that young I am sure you will get use out of book. check online from amazon.com/ca/uk best price I saw. ( I've ordered both of her sugar fairy books but I suggest the first book for ballerina) .... Just thought make it a sugarplum fairy ( like Nutcracker) . Hope this helps
