How does fondant work when you have a filling or icing under it that needs refrigeration? I made some tools from fondant and placed them on the buttercream icing cake. We had a Father's Day party outside-it was humid and wet- the tools became wet and slimy. If I do a fondant covered cake with filling or buttercream under the fondant that needs the frig--How does that work?
Thanks,
Molly

98% of my cakes use a filling that requires refrigeration. I have never had a problem with refrigerating my fondant. If for some reason your fondant get condensation don't touch it and it will dry up once taken out of the fridge.
