I'm doing a cake in the shape of a bowl of ramen for a friend who's moving to Japan to teach. He has a ramen party every year, and makes ramen from scratch, next Monday is the last ramen party and that's where we'll have the cake. I'm hoping someone has ideas for the soup broth. At first I thought about lemon filling, then I thought about isomalt, so I'm not really set on an idea. The noodles will be fondant, as will the bowl and misc. pieces. Any ideas for broth? TIA

Piping Gel with a hint of color to make it look broth like.

I purchased a clay extruder from Michael's for under five dollars. It would be perfect for making the noodles. As for the broth I agree with the other poster about using piping gel. Isomalt is not edible so personally I wouldn't use it.
