How Many People Does The Wilton Sports Ball Pan Feed????

Hello everybody, I have a quick question, How many people does the wilton sports ball pan feed? It looks like 12, but I have had experience where it said it would feed like 12, but it fed 16. So anybody familiar with this pan please help!!!

I calculate it at 12 because of the way it's cut, but using the amount of batter (5 cups for both halves), it could technically yield 16 party size servings--same as a 7x4 round.

I always figured 12 also....the directions state that one cake mix will fill both halves, which is 12 servings. I used to make it a lot when my son was younger.
