Hello!

I am trying to cover a 10" dummy cake with fondant and it keeps cracking and tearing at the edges!!

What can I do - this cake is due tomorrow? icon_sad.gif And it's never happepend before, although this is my first dummy cake! lol

There is a 6" cake going on top (real cake) that I covered with fondant 15 minutes before the 10" (a different tub of fondant but same brand) and it was fine!

Help Pleaseeee! TIA icon_biggrin.gif

Take the sharp edge off the dummy. Roll the edge FIRMLY on the counter to dull it.

Did you cut & sand the top edges of the dummy? If not, they can be too sharp and cause your fondant to tear.
