hey everybody! I need help on how to emulate the coconut texture on this cake. But the suggestion is coconut shavings I wanted to know If anyone had ideas on something else with that texture. Someone from work wants this cake but would prefer no coconut lol. Here is the pic. http://img.foodnetwork.com/FOOD/2011/05/12/FNM_060111-Piece-Of-Cocktail-Cake-015_s4x3_lg.jpg

Shaved chocolate?
To get the variety in colours you could melt and colour some white chocolate onto a tray and then peel it with the slicer once it's set.

I have done that by putting gumpaste through my KitchenAid spaghetti attachment. I let it dry, then broke it into little pieces, then sprayed it with the airbrush. Works out well. Hope this helps.
