Ok, I am trying to find a tub of red already made icing ,and I can't find the tub of it anywhere ! Do you know where I can get a tub of it ? A website or something ? I checked on wilton's website and the ysaid they don't carry it anymore .So I am alittle nervous that I won't find some .

How do you get a real red color without getting a horrible flavor ? If I used a coloring instead of buying a tub? But I would like a tub ! ha ha ha lol

I use the Americolor gel colors and I don't usually have too much trouble getting red. I don't have to add so much that I get a bad flavor anyways, but maybe you don't have enough red coloring on hand.

My Sam's Club sells colored icing back in the bakery department.

With the Wilton food coloring for each cup of icing you would need a tsp of the red icing color to get a good red. but if you get the no taste red Wilton food coloring you wont get that nasty sour taste. I have done this a few times and people still loved my icing. Also i did take a tsp less water and used a little more flavoring. so reduce the water a tiny bit and add more flavoring and use tsp of coloring for each cup of icing. But if you really dont want to do that trying doing what another member said and use americolor red that is a liquid so again reduce the water by a little bit and you will get a deep deep red with that. good luck!!!!!!

Duff makes some I think. Some walmarts carry his brand of products. It's not a super huge tub, but it's a nice size if I remember correctly.
