I use 3" pans, and I don't know why i haven't measured this before.. But I'm thinking if I bake the cake to 3 inches, tort it twice, cover in BC and fondant.. Do you think that will give me an approx 4" finishing height? Trying to figure things out before my SPS arrives! [/list]
yes it should be about 4". if you cut the 3" cake into 3 layers, thats 1" per layer. then 1/2 inch per layer of filling should give you 4". then add in buttercream and maybe fondant and you'll be just over 4"
