Help!!! Fish cake to do this weekend. How do I mix silver luster dust? I heard that you use vodka? Is there a ratio to follow? Also, can I paint with it on butter cream frosting? Any suggestions?

I add lemon extract to mine, just enough to wet it. From what I have tried it is really hard to paint on buttercream. HTH!

I use vodka... just enough to make a thin paste. If you're gonna try it on buttercream, make sure the buttercream has crusted well first icon_smile.gif

Smirnoff Vodka that sits in my freezer. I eyeball it and try it out first on a practice sheet first to see how it looks. You can't go wrong with Vodka!
