I am to do a wedding cake this fall using the Wilton Petal Cake Pan Set ,it is 4 tiers high with a casual drape from the top of the cake to the bottom. Approx. how many lbs of Satin Ice Fondant will I need?

to cover both the cakes and do the drape? or to just do the drape?

both, i believe the each tier is 2 layer

The cake in the picture is smoothed buttercream with a fondant drape. If you did it that way, you wouldn't need more than a pound of fondant...but I'd order some tylose too, to knead into the fondant to make doing the drape easier.

so if i cover it in fondant rather than icing, how many lbs do you think i will need?

If the tiers are 12", 10", 8", 6" x4" then I would say you would need about 10lbs. But I would definitely wait to see what other say before you order. icon_smile.gif I may be off.

I was thinking ten also. Start with the biggest tier and work your way down.
