Hey Ladies

I am VERY new to baking and this site has been a major inspiration.

I know I am asking A LOT but does anyone have a car template I can use? I really want to make this specific car for my husband.

What cake do I use? Normal sponge? I know how to use fondant, so that parts ok.

Please, advise, helps, tips. I would really appreciate it!

Thanks
Belle

Click on the name of the one which looks closest to the model you're after, there wasn't one specifically called a GT500. It'll bring up pictures of the car from all angles. Print them off, resize them to the size of cake you want. (You can use a photocopier or do it on your computer)

Follow this tutorial using the template you just made

Use any cake you want, normal sponge is suitable. Dense mud cakes and pound cakes would work well.

I am also making a car cake for Friday, a Ford Fusion nascar. I like the tutorial, except for the wheels. They are way to small and look goofy. I would love to make a mold and do it with chocolate (saw once on TLCs Fabulous cakes) but don't think that will happen. Maybe modelling chocolate would be better.

Any other ideas?

Jenna
