When you make the tassles for the graduation cap, do you let the tassles harden on the cap or keep them soft then apply them to the cap when I assemble the cake at the party?!

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks...

You assemble them while they are soft, measure how long you want them and cut them while soft, I just made mine and they were a little to long and when i went to cut them ( after they got hard) they broke, So i had to make them all over again.

Definitely soft. I've never had to put them on at a party though. I always been able to transport assembled. Maybe make two just in case? The last couple of tassels I made pulled apart in the middle before it dried just from its own weight. I was so happy I made extra!

I have it assembled and luckily I did cut them before they dried. I will make an extra set though! Thank you for the helpful advise!
