Here is the cake I made for my daughter's Mickey Mouse birthday party. It isn't perfect, but I love how it came out and my daughter was so excited when she saw it.

I tried to copy the design from LuluSweetArt - just loved that cake, and we used Sugar Sweet Cakes & Treats blog to figure out how to make MMF and to make red and black MMF - we did candy melts and it worked really well.

The layers were on cake boards and then we put that on the cake. When we took the top layer off to cut the bottom layer for the party a bunch of the cake actually stuck to the cake board. Makes sense, but is there anything you can do to prevent this from happening?

I couldn't figure out how to upload the pic to the post so I just put the cake in my photos, I think you can see it that way.

A smear of BC, a circle of waxed paper, and another smear of BC, then stack the top tier (on its own board) onto the bottom tier.
