I have a request for a white cake with a chocolate raspberry filling. However, I am not quite sure how to do the filling-would I make a chocolate buttercream, smear it on the cake, and then over that put the raspberry filling? Would this taste good? Any ideas, thoughts, or recipes would be very much appreciated!

My first thought would be to see if they meant WHITE CHOCOLATE RASPBERRY. Those flavors go wonderfully together. I would make a white choc ganache and whip it slightly. If its a 4" cake it most likely will have 3 layers of filling. I would do the top and bottom layer in raspberry and the middle layer of filling the ganache. This will also help stabilize the cake as fruit fillings can get slippery.
