I have seen people mention using Tootsie Roll roses. How many tootsie rolls do you need per rose?

TIA!! icon_biggrin.gif

I use the mini tootsie rolls and depending on if you are making a bud, small flower or larger flower, I use 2-3 per flower. I have a cake posted with tootsie roll roses and modeling chocolate. You cut the mini in half and microwave for 5-7 seconds at a time (or else it turns into lava and burns you!). Then you can form the pieces into petals. I really like how it looks and although I don't have it posted, the colored tootsie rolls make beautiful roses and the green color makes a good stem! Good luck!
